A short course on being human
In these informal classes led by Dr. Moira Walsh, we will consider various aspects of what it means to be human – what we have in common with other beings and what is unique to us as creatures made in the image and likeness of God – so that we can better understand ourselves and how to seek authentic happiness. No philosophical or theological background is required.

Moira Walsh has taught ethics, logic, history of philosophy and other topics to students at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana University, Boston College, and Suffolk University, as well as to numerous groups wanting to learn more about philosophy for personal enrichment. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical ethics from Brown University and a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.
