Family Enrichment

 

Girls Clubs

Girls ages 8-12 gather with their moms for a virtue talk, to make crafts, or to learn skills (from budgeting to baking) in this monthly gathering. Little siblings are also welcome to join. A small annual fee covers materials.

 

Summer Camps for Elementary School Children

Alderton House partners with affiliate non-profits and partners around the nation to offer summer activities for girls, from camps to service projects. The camp closest to Alderton is Camp Applewood in Morristown, New Jersey for rising 1st-6th graders. Learn about Camp Applewood here.

 

Family Enrichment Courses

The mission of Family Enrichment New York is to provide solid support and guidance for parents in their task of raising a family. We offer courses and ongoing training for parents. The focus is on responsibility, freedom and love.

Active Seasons: Spring & Fall

Join us as we dig into Catholic teaching on key points of faith and morals. Topics include: Freedom, Law & Conscience, the Morality of Human Acts, Grace and the Virtues, the Person and Society, Personal Sin, The First Commandment, etc.

 
 

The Catholic Church, Builder of Civilization

Active Seasons: Tuesdays 9-10 amvia Zoom

A lecture series based on the book by Dr. Thomas E. Woods about the Catholic Church and its cultural impact. You will enjoy a clear exposition of historical facts often ignored or challenged Topics covered: Rise of universities and the sciences, Human Rights Law and International Law, Charity, Philanthropy, Social Justice, and more.

Recollection for Young Mothers

Every 3rd Tuesday, 7-8:45 PM at Alderton House

This monthly period of reflection offers the chance to recharge one’s spiritual batteries. The recollection includes guided prayer, a practical talk on a matter of faith, questions for personal reflection, and benediction with the Blessed Sacrament. Priests are available for confessions/spiritual direction.

 

Retreats

Retreats provide the opportunity to reflect on the meaning of one's everyday occupations, family life, and relationship with God and others, in light of the basic truths of the Catholic faith.
