About Us

Our Mission

Over the past 50 years, Alderton House has offered a rich array of cultural programs for women of all ages and backgrounds in New York City and beyond. We give women the resources to build a balanced life, achieve greater professional and personal excellence, and render a more effective service to their families, friends, and communities.

Our affiliated Highland Study Center offers activities for girls in high school and college which challenge them to aspire to their personal and academic best. These programs have a Christian orientation entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal Prelature of the Catholic Church.

Our Impact

What women experience at Alderton House has a ripple effect on their families, workplaces, and communities. Last year alone we reached:

  • 500 Professionals monthly in programs throughout NY, NJ, CT, PA, and GA

  • 350 Women who attended a monthly event hosted at Alderton

  • 325 Women who attended an annual conference or retreat sponsored by Alderton

  • 300 Guests who attended workshops or cultural events
